Money Smartness in Students
One must always know how to manage their money and expenses, and if you are a student its better to get hold of certain things from beginning only, such as how are you going to fund your college,though in India its not you but the parents who pays the fees or if it is a students loan then too parents find it as their responsibility.
But you must know what all things there are to keep in mind related to every last rupee that your parents are investing in you.
It will help you become more financial stable in future. Its not a point to check but smaller decisions that will make you Money Smart.
The age group from later adolescence to early adulthood are more prone to take bad decision related to their finances, this could be the result of lack of maturity in students, more distractions and/or spending recklessly without thinking of the repercussions.
Students living away from their families for higher studies have much more responsibility. In this case students must make a budget and stick to that. All the money they are spending must be in the marked in ledger so that at the end of the month they can check for the expenses and savings.
If you are a student and have taken students loan for your college then there are some points to keep in mind, you should only accept the amount that your actually need, being greedy and taking up all the money might make you fall in bigger debt.
And a regular practice of money saving will always goes a long way. Time management and money saving can help you setting smaller milestones for the future and soon it will become a habit of yours.
Ideally one must always save 30% of their paycheck every month for saving themselves from future money problems. and in mean time you should always borrow responsibly and do budget carefully.
