Is Laughter Really The Best Medicine?

Latest Jokes, Travel Blog Write For Us, Tech Write For Us, Home Improvement Submit Guest Post, Finance Guest Post, Education Guest Post all agree that happiness increases the quality of your life.

Researchers in a study in 2008, found that the mere anticipation of laughter e.g. when you anticipate hearing a great joke, lowers your levels of the cortisol and the epinephrine stress hormones, as well as the stress hormone know as dopac.

Studies have shown, laughter increases your oxygen intake making it easier for tensed-up muscles to relax.

Ten minutes or more of laughter alone burns more than 50 calories.

Laughter is great for your brain as it simulates the motor cortex and the nucleus accumbens which help cognition, movement, and emotional perception , which helps maintain your mental health.Laughter has also been known to increase social awareness.

Finally, Laughter helps build relationships- both social and business relationships. Laughter relieves the awkward tensions of meeting someone for the first time, and makes it much easier to get to know someone.

Laughter indicates a persons's state of mind. An open and free mind makes a person laugh or smile readily. It also indicates a healthy body.

You surely have heard about a constipated look? Observe and keep it to yourself. People who are stressed out, unhealthy, suspicious of others, having persecution complex, having false ego etc, are generally not spontaneous laughers. Their worries weigh them down.

Laughter is of many kinds. As long as you are laughing with others not on others you are a mentally healthy person. A smiley face lights up a room while a gloomy one darkens it. So spread light, where ever you go. Because laughter really is a medicine.

Cheers
